The top 1% produce 3 times more output than the bottom 1%
For medium complexity jobs (e.g. sales people or mechanics)
The top 1% is 12 times more productive than the bottom 1%

For high complexity jobs (e.g. physicians,
account managers, insurance sales people)

Increasing EI doesn't happen over night, it is not an e-book download away from your reach. It is something you must commit to, practice, and create habits based around these standards.

Pick an area of your life you would like to work on, ask for feedback, and proceed to take action.

The art of Listening is a good start. For all you super hyper, extra value meal speakers, you tuned out distracted parents, overworked, overbooked, busy for the sake of being busy bosses, this is especially important.

Till Next Time....

Why should I or anyone Coach? What is the big deal?

Recently I have run into the challenge of understanding the core reasons why I am in the business of coaching. All the typical reasons surfaced, such as: I would like to help people, would like all leaders to realize their full potential, etc. All true. However, something occured to me today that is much more in line with the truth.

I'd like to start a revolution!
A leadership revolution.

A world where leaders inspire, support, listen, encourage and motivate people. Coaching provides a kind of unconditional support that most people never have the privilage of experiencing. I would like to create a major impact with leaders across the world in all organizations in the way they lead and treat their people. My goal is to create a package, service and system that is accessable to all leaders that desire this change. I would like employees to lobby for their leaders to make these changes in order to create workplace environments that are enjoyable and pleasurable.

All leaders deserve to make the necessary behavioural changes to enjoy health relationships at work and at home, while gaining the skills and know how to cope with a hectic work and family life.

Ultimately I would like to create a leadership revolution, adding value to all companies that participate through the following areas.

Increase employee support and motivation

Employees will feel validated and supported

Leaders will increase their E.I. by practicing their newly gained behavioural changes.

Leaders will be able to use these techniques to put their people through similar programs

Leaders will increase their personal happiness

++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

Truth be told, most leaders have the practical skills, education, training experience. In my experience as a manager the real reason people are let go has nothing to do with tangible skills that can be taught, and everything to do with attitude, standards, and overall likeability.

In this competitive market, the edge you have is not only going to be how many technical course you have taken, but more importantly your emotional intelligence.

CHEERS to a new future, where people enjoy going to work everyday.

The trick to keeping resolutions....Read On If you Dare..

Follow through is tough when it comes to resolutions. The trick is to examine why, what are the roadblocks? how do we come to the resolution in the first place? Without making things too complicated, let's look at the building blocks for creating excellence in our lives..

VALUES: You must know your values. Your values are the foundation of everything you do in life, including the goals and resolutions you set. If your values are not in line with your resolution, or you are not clear why you want something. Your approach will not have as much momentum or meaning. What do you value really? write it down.

STANDARDS: Standards are the principles we hold ourselves to, and are based on values. Once you have a clear picture of your values, take a look at your standards. What kinds of standards do you hold yourself to today? what kinds of new standards would you like to set for yourself? A couple of examples of standards include; I don't smoke, I exercise regularly, I give gratitude to the people I love on a daily basis. You have them we all do, but clarifying them gives us insight on who we are, and why we are. Write down two new standards you would like to live by starting tomorrow. Explore the reasons why? How do these standards align with your values.

SELF CARE: Self-Care= Physical, Intellectual, Emotional, Spiritual: We all know that self care is important. The irony of the importance of self care. Self care should NOT BE a GOAL, it should be a STANDARD. This is the trick. Most of us set goals that are self care. Well guess what, Self-care is not a GOAL it is a life long building block made of standards that supports our entire entity including our dreams and goals in life. Remember, Practice makes Habit, and good habits create excellence. If you really want to make a change, establish your standards and go forth. When people practice poor self care, neglect their standards and ignore their values, they create a recipe for disappointment and failure.

There is no way around it. As they say....HOW BAD DO YOU WANT CHANGE?

Want change? Are you serious about it?
